My results gave me Zero. I'm guessing It's because my data is from FTDNA.

I don’t think I can possibly have any Native American ancestry?

Europeans and Native Americans share ancestry from a Siberian population known as Ancient North Eurasian, so your SNPs might be from that source.

Number of SNPs (genetic markers) that we looked for: 2,581
Number of SNPs found and analysed: 85
85

Number of alleles analysed: 170
Your result is :
Native American alleles out of 170
5

Well in 23andMe it shows that I have Melanasian DNA and 0.3% is still unassigned. Maybe its a hint!

These results are from my 23andMe file. It's suspect lol. I have zero with my Ancestry file. This is probably just ancient Siberian.

rs80269044CC
People with your genotype have two copies of this mutation that is indicative of Native American ancestry.
rs12566544CT
People with your genotype have one copy of this mutation that is indicative of Native American ancestry.
rs17097300AG
People with your genotype have one copy of this mutation that is indicative of Native American ancestry.

My mom's ancestry file gives her one. She scores 1% Native American on Ancestry. She has Native American and Métis matches on her French Canadian line which is pretty typical for people with Canadian ancestry.

Again do any of you think this could indicate ancient Native heritage? Because (once more) I have no know recent Native heritage.

My results:

Native American * Amerindian * Amerind * Indigenous peoples of the Americas.
The movement of people into the Americas, across Beringia, happened around 20,000 to 14,000 years ago. The first large influx of Europeans and Africans occurred within the last 500 years.

There are two main groups that contributed to this peopling of the Americas, both from Siberia deriving from before the last Glacial Maximum (36,000-25,000 years ago). These two groups were Proto-Mongoloid and Ancient North Eurasian, apart from the Na Dene and Eskimo-Aleut speaking people who are also partly derived from Siberian populations, who entered at a later period into the northern part of America and Greenland.
