I visited Ireland once while in high school. It was a great trip; the family who hosted us, and the people in general, were very welcoming and friendly. The mother in our host family was a great cook who made wonderful chocolate cake for us. She also made her own bread, which was absolutely delicious. What most struck me there was the extraordinary landscape, so wild and green (the colour of which reminds me of some of our regions in France), and the stunningly beautiful monuments (castles, abbayes). Can't get more Celtic that this! I'd like to go back one day. I'd also love to visit Scotland.
