The most interesting one to me

rs6994992 (TT) the alle said to be the "genius" gene

The geneplaza intelligent test said the same as far as I.Q.

I'm not that up there though from tests I have taken 128

rs12896399GG Gene: LOC105370627 *True
picture

Red Hair and Anaesthetics

People with your genotype do not have this variant associated with red hair. SNPs in MC1R are responsible for red, light and blond hair. Fair skin and freckling.
Not applicable. Red hair is found mainly in North Western Europe, from the British Isles to Scandinavia. This SNP is only one of a few on the MC1R gene connected to red hair. In female redheads the response to some anaesthetics (pentazocine, nalbuphine, and butorphanol) is increased. SNPs in MC1R are responsible for red, light and blond hair. Fair skin and freckling. Red and fair hair is found mainly in the North West and North East of Europe above the 35th parallel. MC1R-R151C

rs1805008CC Gene: MC1R *True, blue eyes
picture

Eye Colour

Blue eye colour is found in 99% of people with your genotype
Blue eyes are genetically recessive and therefore much less common worldwide. Blue eyes result from an absence of pigment in the eye. The blue colour is formed by the scattering of light as it reflects off the iris. It has been estimated that approximately 8% of the world's population have blue eyes.

rs12913832GG Gene: OCA2 *not sure actually
picture

Freckles

People with your genotype are very likely to have freckles
Freckling very likely

rs4778138AA Gene: OCA2 *true
picture

Skin Tone

People with your genotype are likely to have a light skin tone
This genotype can be used to determine ancestry, probably a light skin tone of European ancestry.

rs1426654AA Gene: SLC24A5 *not true, Im rather short :(
picture

Height

People with your genotype are 0.4cm taller on average
80% heritable. Height is the result of environmental and genetic factors. The height of a child is often the mean height of the parents.

rs1042725CT Gene: HMGA2 *True
picture

Earwax Type

People with your genotype are likely to have wet earwax
Wet earwax. Normal body odour. Normal colostrum. There are two genetically determined distinct types of earwax. East Asians and Native Americans tend to have the recessive dry (grey and flaky) type, while Europeans and Africans usually have the dominant wet (caramel coloured) earwax. Cerumen (earwax) type has been used to track human migratory patterns by anthropologists.

rs17822931CC Gene: ABCC11 *True
picture

Muscle Performance

People with your genotype are a mix of muscle types. Likely sprinter.
Determines the percentage of fast and slow twitch muscle fibres. Most people fall into one of two categories: sprinter or long-distance runner.

rs1815739CT Gene: ACTN3 *True
picture

Alcohol Flush Reaction

People with your genotype do not have the East Asian flush response to alcohol
Normal, does not flush. Normal hangovers. Normal risk of alcoholism. Normal risk of oesophageal cancer. Disulfiram is effective for alcoholism.

rs671GG Gene: ALDH2 *Never had problems so far
picture

Lactose Tolerance. Milk

People with your genotype are more likely to be lactose tolerant and digest milk
The frequency of lactose intolerance ranges from 5% in Northern European populations to more than 90% in some African and Asian countries. Although worldwide populations were first thought to have high frequencies of lactase persistence because of a single mutation, lactase persistence has been traced to various mutations that occurred independently. There were evolutionary advantages to lactose persistence (the ability to drink milk) into adulthood.

rs182549TT Gene: MCM6 *Yes, true

i am a south indian nair , we have a minute steppe ancestry( usually in the range of 3-4% baltic in k47 calculaator, and rarely scando-germanic) otherwise predominantly asian- south asian that is...as for the above prediction on hair colour mine is very much black!...my baby boy of 2 years age has slightly auburn hair which will surely darken with age!
the above statement of carrying 2 variants has me puzzled...surely it is autosomal recessive, right?
please enlighten!

And this is mine! ^^
NOTE: My grandparents in my father's side were Andalusian Gypsies and in my mother's side they were Andalusians. I'm French myself.

Hair Curl
People with your genotype are more likely to not have curly hair
This variant is associated with straighter hair in European populations.
===> True.

Blond Hair and Blue Eyes
People with your genotype are unlikely to have blond hair and blue eyes, although you carry one variant and are more likely to have blue eyes.
Although it is unlikely you have blond hair you are more likely to have blue eyes, you carry one copy for these traits. Red and fair hair is found mainly in the North West and North East of Europe above the 35th parallel.
===> True. Some people in my mother's family have blue eyes and it's interesting to learn that I also carry one variant of this gene even if my eyes are actually almost black.

Blond Hair
People with your genotype do not carry this variant for blond hair.
People with blond hair have low levels of the dark pigment eumelanin. Ranging from platinum, strawberry and sandy blond. Red and fair hair is found mainly in the North West and North East of Europe above the 35th parallel.
===> True.

===> True.

Red Hair - Most Prolific Variant
People with your genotype do not have this variant associated with red hair. SNPs in MC1R are responsible for red, light and blond hair. Fair skin and freckling.
Not applicable. Red hair is found mainly in North Western Europe, from the British Isles to Scandinavia. This is the most common variant associated with red hair. This SNP is only one of a few on the MC1R gene connected to red hair. SNPs in MC1R are responsible for red, light and blond hair. Fair skin and freckling. Red and fair hair is found mainly in the North West and North East of Europe above the 35th parallel. MC1R-D294H-i3002507
===> True. However there are few red haired people in my mother's family and I had few red hairs on my beard when I was younger.

===> True. See above.

Eye Colour
Brown eye colour is found in 80% of people with your genotype
Brown eye colour is a dominant genetic trait, and is created by the presence of melanin in the eye.
===> True.

Eye Tone
People with your genotype are more likely to have darker toned eyes
Darker eye colour tone is more likely.
===> True.

Freckles
People with your genotype are very likely to have freckles
Freckling very likely
===> Partially true. My grandmother, in my mother's side, was covered of frecles from head to toes. Some other people in my mother's side also have frecles. However, as for me, the frecles just appear on my nose and cheeks during the first week of springtime, when the sunshine comes back after a long winter.

Skin Tone
People with your genotype are likely to have a light skin tone
This genotype can be used to determine ancestry, probably a light skin tone of European ancestry.
===> True.

Height
People with your genotype are 0.4cm taller on average
80% heritable. Height is the result of environmental and genetic factors. The height of a child is often the mean height of the parents.
===> Not true! I'm 167cm! :D

Earwax Type
People with your genotype are likely to have wet earwax
Wet earwax.
===> True.

Baldness
People with your genotype are less likely to go bald
The most influential gene that confers baldness is found on the X chromosome, which men receive from their mother. However men with balding fathers also have an increased risk of developing it.
===> True. I'm going to turn 46 and I still have all my hair.

Alcohol Flush Reaction
People with your genotype do not have the East Asian flush response to alcohol
Normal, does not flush. Normal hangovers. Normal risk of alcoholism. Normal risk of oesophageal cancer. Disulfiram is effective for alcoholism.
===> True.

Caffeine Response
People with your genotype are slow caffeine metabolisers
As a slow caffeine metaboliser, caffeine may have side-effects and limiting consumption may be beneficial. Increased risk of heart attack from drinking coffee.
===> This is creepy because I LOVE coffee and I can't imagine living without it! :o

Ageing, Telomeres
People with your genotype have longer telomeres
Very Good. Longer telomeres can possibly mean a longer life. Telomeres shorten with ageing, therefore longer telomeres are an advantage.
===> It sounds like good news!

Centenarians
People with your genotype have an average chance of living to 100
Average

Centenarians

Avoidance of Errors, Intelligence
People with your genotype display worse error avoidance.
0.5x lower OCD risk, 0.87x lower tardive dyskinesia risk, higher ADHD risk. More alcohol dependence. Lower risk of postoperative nausea. Increased obesity. Bupropion is not effective.

Intracranial Capacity, Intelligence, Height
People with your genotype have a slightly higher intercranial volume.
For each C allele at rs10784502 there is an increase of 1.29 IQ points.

Worrier Versus Warrior
People with your genotype fall into the "worrier" category, which is an advantage in memory and attention tasks
"The Warrior gene" versus the "Worrier gene". (AA)(worrier) confers advantage in memory and attention tasks

Blood Type O
People with your genotype are not Blood Type O, increased risk for some diseases.
Blood type is not O. Possible 1.2x risk of pancreatic cancer.
===> I'm B+. However my mother is O.
